Taco soup is a type of soup usually consisting of similar ingredients to those used inside a taco: ground beef, tomatoes, chopped green chilis, olives, onions, corn, beans, a packet of taco seasoning and Ranch seasoning. It is best if it cooks in the crock pot all day. After it is done cooking, it is usually topped off with cheese, sour cream, raw onions, avocado, or nacho chips.
The ratio of ingredients is typically one pound of ground beef, one onion, one green pepper, one can of broth, etc., to two packs of commercial taco seasoning.[1]
